Day #1! 4/23/2010
It was a long drive to Rome,Oregon...but we made it to put in! As soon as we arrived everyone couldn't wait to get out and start sorting gear and pumping up the rafts. The plan was to get everything ready and set up to leave Rome in the morning. The group worked well together and we accomplished getting the rafts pumped up and the oars rigs set up on the rafts. After everyting was set up Nakita and I took a nice hike to the top of a plato over looking the river and our camp. Looking out I was so happy to be there! It was so beautiful and I was over joyed to be there, especially for school,and such an awesome group of people! After our hike, we headed down and took it easy, since we had a busy day ahead of us...on the Owyhee River!!!
